Vafa James Rakshani – engineer, business owner, inventor, investor
Vafa James Rakshani was the VP of Engineering at Broadcom. He was one of the original members of the startup. He retired from Broadcom in 2013, after managing a team of over 300 high tech design engineers and their support staff, with a budget of over $200M annually. Vafa holds 70 patents and has developed many “world’s first” devices in the integrated circuit industry. Vafa has diverged into the commercial real estate investment and development. He is a managing partner of several commercial real estate holdings. Vafa holds the title of the chairman of the board of Liquipel, which began as an early nano-tech innovator, waterproofing electronics, including cell phones. Vafa received his M.S. degree in MSCNG from USC and two B.S. degrees from Cal State University, Fullerton. He received his 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do in 2012.
