Scientist and Entrepreneur
Mehdi Hatamian received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Michigan. He worked for NASA’s Space Shuttle program and was a member of the Visual Communications Research of Bell Laboratories. He co-founded Silicon Design Experts, which was later acquired by Intel Corp. From 1996, he was with Broadcom Corporation for over 20 years, and left the company as a Senior VP of Engineering. He is currently the CEO of 2Pi-Sigma Corporation, a biomedical company he founded in Sep. 2016 working on the next generation of cancer screening devices. Dr. Hatamian has published extensively in his areas of expertise and holds 96 issued patents with several patents pending. He has served on the board of directors of Sensei Biotherapeutics and is the senior scientific advisor of Vivera Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He is the inventor of HeyKube, the First Programmable Rubik’s cube.
